Just a short note to say that we have just gotback from a fabulous 5 days staying up by the beach at Sandspit. It's just over an hour north of Auckland. We had a little cabin right at the water's edge. The campsite had free kayaks and dinghys and giant chess and snakes and ladders. Lots of fun! We have come back relaxed and slightly bronzed despite continuously slapping on the factor 30.
We also managed to hook up with some friends who moved out of Auckland a few months ago to a place just down the road from our campsite. We went round to theirs fro a lovely meal and ended up staying the night as neither Ian nor I wanted to drive the mile or two home! We also had our first taste of multiplayer Playstation. The Big Quizz and Pop Quizzes are great fun!
Ian is still negotiating the details with IBM but it looks like he will accept their offer and aim to start work at the end of January. We hope to fit in a few more weeks at the beach between now and then.
