a quiet week

I have had my feet up this week as I had to have some minor surgery yesterday. It all went very well and I certainly felt covered in prayer. I had to have general anaesthetic but i recovered from it very quickly with no yucky side effects. Ian has been playing house husband in earnest the last couple of days after his two months in training.

Ethan is now walking. He has been taking short walks between furniture for a while now but on Monday he decided to see what would happen if he kept walking. He walked the whole length of the living room and kitchen giggling all the way. he hasn't stopped since. He still walks like a little zombie with both arms out in front of him which is quite comical. Today we hung up some photos of me with Ethan and Ethan on his own. A photographer took them at playgroup a couple of months ago. Ethan recognises himself and points at them beaming. Very sweet really!

The plan for our trip is taking shape. We leave for Onemana on Friday. The Bundys will join us on Saturday. We've discovered one of Ian's old work colleagues will be there the same time as usso we hope to hook up. After 6 days there we have two nights in the Bay of Plenty before heading down to Napier for two nights over New Year's Eve. We will then take two weeks to head home again in time for Ian to start his new job.

We are also in the process of planning a potential trip back to the UK in March/April. Will keep you posted.

Meanwhile - Merry Christmas!
