just checking in!

Hello from Napier, Hawkes Bay! We have just arrived here having had a wonderful week in Onemana with the Bundys and then a couple of days in the Bay of Plenty at Maketu. We had a great Christmas. Our bach in Onemana was wonderful. It was on a hill overlooking a spectacular bay with a short (steep) walk down to a beautiful beach. We had a couple of lovely early morning walks on the beach with Ethan in the backpack when we wanted to keep the house quiet for the Bundys and whichever one of us wasn't on Ethan duty. We had scrambled egg and smoked salmon on bagels with champagne for breakfast on Christmas Day followed by turkey and the works for lunch. Dizz bought me Topgun for Christmas so we watched that in the evening much to ian's chagrin (he loves it really but likes to tell us all the bits that are wrong). The cards came out then and we had a very funny game of cheat, which the boys one. James Bundy had 3 kings for just about every hand. I think the boys were helped by a little too much whiskey. Dizz and I faired much better on Blackjack.

Ethan has been walking for almost two weeks now and is almost unstoppable. He has had plenty of little injuries in that time from all his falling over but he is doing well. That's all for now - will touch base again soon.
