Bateman's Bay

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post!

The second part of our journey went well too. The plane was more full but we still had plenty of room. Ethan was getting a bit fed up towards the end of the flight but generally he did really well.

We then spent two nights in Sydney. Ian's dad Frank and his wife Liz picked us up at teh airport and took us to some lovely apartments that they had rented for us in darling harbour. We weren't up for much that first day but the second day we had a great time exploring the harbour area of the city. We also went to the Aquarium. They have an amazing pool where you walk through a great big tube in the middle. The pool, or tank i suppose, is full of different types of sharks, catfish and other great big fish. There were also a couple of massive fish like the school teacher in Finding Nemo. I can't remember their name!

The third day was spent travelling down from Sydney to Surf Beach, near Bateman's Bay, Frank and Liz's home. They have a lovely house here very close to the beach. Ian and I had a lovely walk along the beach this morning. The weather has been unusually overcast with a few showers but pleasantly warm shorts and T shirts weather. The wildlife around here is amazing. Particularly the birds. I am already enjoying one of my objectives for this move, namely taking in more of God's creation and appreciating its infinite variety.
