How brilliant! So many children but we only saw Ethan... magic!!! Great Uncle Kevin will be watching all the matches over the next few weeks.... lots of love GUK and GAM xxxxx
What a great celebration at School, Ethan really seems to know what he is doing, also enjoyed seeing so many different flags there in amongst those big Silver Ferns. The Official Opening - just superb, and the Harbour looked absolutely stunning, as did the newly refurbished Eden Park -to think I used to live only 3 streets from it!!. New Zealand - and Ethan must be very proud of yesterday. Great fun for all of you. Well Grandpa (and I at times - Wallabies) will be watching a lot of the matches. Love to the 5 of you Dad and Liz xxxxx www.lanfwroe.blogspot.com
Just come hom from Prayer Breakfast to see the video, I almost cried. What a wonderful occasion. We could do with a bit of that in UK ! Ethan stood out for us , taking it all so seriously as is his wont. The smile from Dan lit up my day and Immy's little girl lost look doesn't change. xxxx Love you all and miss you Nana and Gramps xxxx
Thanks guys! The school had representatives for most of the nations represented in the Cup. Some recent and not so recent immigrant connections. They had some stand-ins for the others as they planned to do a parade as part of their ceremony but there wasn't really enough time so they had each country stand up to wave their flags and get a cheer. Ian and I had a good time this afternoon at the Australia v Italy match.
And what a match that was (2nd half), go the Wallabies!! Actually Frank was pretty impressed with the USA's game as well, considering they are not a Rugby playing nation, they may not have won, but played a very clean game in his books, so keep flying the stars and stripes flag Ethan. Love to all Dad and Liz xxxxx
