Ian had a good first week at work. Lots of challenges but it looks like he will enjoy it. He has managed to track down someone to provide him with a room on a regular basis.

I enjoyed the mix of working and being at home.

We had a fabulous weekend. Bill and Trish from Adelaide stayed with us. It worked out perfectly as they landed just before Ian got in from Wellington on Friday night and they were on the same flight this morning.

Saturday was a washout so we went to our old favourite Carriages Cafe for a coffee - which to Ian means pancakes with the works and eggs and ham for ethan. Bill and Trish bought us a Camellia for the front garden.

Sunday by contrast was glorious so we headed off to Waiheke Island for the day on the passneger ferry. Ethan was in his element as he got to go on a big boat "across the ocean" like in Finding Nemo and a big bus. Will load some photos soon. Gorgeous island and so peaceful. Lovely fresh air compared to the city.
