New job, new hours, new nanny

My very clever hubby started his new job yesterday. He is undergoing some security checks so i won't say much about it. It is a little bit secret squirrel but not as bad as working for Q in england. Only downside is it is based in Wellington! The plan is he will spend 3 days a week down there and the rest of the week up here. I have reduced my hours to 3 days a week (much more sensible!). Erin, our american lodger has agreed to nanny for us on those days. It all works out very nicely - indeed it is almost as if God had it planned all along....!

My last couple of full weeks at work were extrememly hectic. Not least because i was representing a friend from church at the Weathertight Homes Tribunal. A 4 day adjudication. It was great experience for work so i got to do it in work time. Lots of work but fun too. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a good result.

Ethan is very pleased with his new Postman Pat DVD from great uncle kevin (with the removable thumb) and great auntie margaret - known affectionately as GUK and GAM
