The only way to eat ice cream - when you have 25 kids under 9 to feed that is!

We had a great time camping over New Year's Eve. There were about 10 families camping in the garden of a couple of bachs and a few more families inside. The couple who organise it as a bit of an annual event set up marquees for the meal times and hanging out in the evening. It was just about 45 minutes north of Auckland on the Whangaparoa peninsula. Another lovely spot. Our tent was about 5 metres from the beach.

Highlights for the kids included an ice cream eating competition - ice cream served in a plastic gutter!
