Ethan's first week at Kindy went well. I stayed with him for about half an hour the first afternoon but he seemed fairly comfortable and confident from the start. He has been telling everyone he's a big kindy boy now and he is insisting on doing a lot more things for himself - like putting on his own socks. Consequently trying to get out of the house suddenly takes a lot longer.
We also had his first visit to the dentist this week. He was a bit nervous but eventually laid back and let the dentist examine him. Unfortunately somewhere along the line one of his nasty face plants has damaged one of his front teeth to the extent that the root is dead. It is already a bit grey in colour at the back and will at wome point fall out prematurely. As long as it doesn't abcess there's no immediate issue.
Nothing much else to report here. It's been a lovely sunny weekend for the most part with occasional rain storms coming out of nowhere (that's Auckland for you). We spent the afternoon yesterday with two of Ian's former work colleagues and their families. Ethan was running and dancing about with their little girls. Very cute. As for Immy her roar is growing in volume. Hard to believe that she will be 9 months old on friday - and I will be 33! She had one of her very stylish dresses from nana bell on yesterday. I'm glad I tried it for size as she is so broad that there isn't much room left in it even though it is for 12mths.
