This is the beach at Piha which is about 20 minutes drive from us. It's a famous surfing beach but has very strong tides. The life saving club are kept very busy!

These bizarre looking sculptures are on theroundabout on the edge of the village. I believe they are meant to represent bacteria! British locals call it the Monster Munch roundabout.
